Melita graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2013 with a Bachelor in Science, majoring in Human Physiology and Human Structure & Function. She then completed a double Bachelor in Health Science and Applied Science (Osteopathy) at RMIT University. After graduating, she moved to Hobart, Tasmania, where she gained valuable experience treating a diverse range of patients—from farmers to city dwellers, and children to the elderly. While she enjoyed her time there, Melbourne is home, and she moved back in early 2020 to become part of the WRH team.
Melita is passionate about providing holistic care that considers each patient’s personal goals and lifestyle. After personally navigating the challenges of pregnancy and her own pelvic health journey, as well as raising her two children, Melita’s special interest for Women’s pelvic health and paediatric care was truly cemented. She has completed extensive training in both areas, which are now a main clinical focus. Her passion lies in supporting women throughout their pregnancy, birth preparation, and postpartum journey, as well as those in perimenopause and menopause, treating conditions such as pelvic pain, bladder and bowel incontinence, and prolapse. She also works with babies from their first few days of life, helping with oral restrictions, tongue/lip tie, feeding difficulties, and musculoskeletal tension from birth.
While these are her key areas of focus, Melita enjoys treating patients from all walks of life for common complaints, including headaches, migraines, neck pain, and back issues. She has also completed training in Level 1 & 2 Dry Needling.
Outside of work, you’ll find Melita spending time with family and friends, at the dog park or beach with her two mini dachshunds, or trying to navigate busy mum life with her two children.
