Dr Peta Antonello
Peta graduated from Victoria University with a bachelor of science (clinical sciences) and a master of health science (osteopathy) in 2019. Throughout her youth Peta was involved with many sporting disciplines/clubs and has experienced her fair share of injuries. It was these said injuries that inspired to become an osteopath after seeking treatment at WRH.
Throughout her studies Peta put her osteopathic skills to work as a sports trainer with Bacchus Marsh Football Netball Club. Here Peta treated a myriad of injuries both those attributed to the sporting field and other grievances obtained by players at work.
Peta has also seen her skills as an osteopath as an opportunity to travel to both help others and be inspired by them. During her studies Peta volunteered her time at a hospital in Vietnam to assist physiotherapists in the rehabilitation of outpatients with a variety of injuries including spinal cord injuries and ACL injuries. Osteopathy has also taken Peta to Italy to discover how Osteopathy was practiced in a different culture. Here she learnt to look at her practice and patients in a different light whilst also adopting some new techniques.
From her experiences Peta has fostered a keen interest in treating and rehabilitating sporting injuries, low back pain and neck pain/headaches.
